Experimental Psychology

The Experimental Psychology Program at the University of Tennessee incorporates three areas of research: Biological Psychology, Developmental Psychology, and Social & Personality Psychology. Experimental graduate students will acquire breadth of knowledge of these areas, but are expected to identify a particular area and conduct research primarily in that area. Graduate applicants should identify the area and faculty member(s) with whom they would most like to work in their application.

Details about the three areas can be found here:

  • Biological
  • Developmental
  • Social and Personality

Students will note that many of the degree requirements (e.g., SAC forms, doctoral committee appointment, etc.) are marked or indexed by the completion of certain forms. Each form may be obtained, when needed, from Connie Ogle, Graduate Programs Coordinator, in 312D. Completed forms should be returned to Ms. Ogle for obtaining Department Head signature, filing, copying, and/or forwarding to The Graduate School.
