Associate/Professor opening in Clinical Psychology

The Department of Psychology at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in Clinical Psychology at the level of Associate Professor or Professor for the academic year beginning August 1, 2008. Candidates should have a Ph.D. from an APA-accredited program, be license-eligible in the state of Tennessee, have a nationally recognized research program, and have the skills necessary for outstanding clinical supervision. Preference will be given to candidates with portable extramural funding. The Department currently consists of 31 faculty and four full-time lecturers in three Ph.D. programs (Clinical, Counseling, and Experimental). Diverse theoretical orientations are represented by the nine full-time faculty in the Clinical Training Program. Review of applications will begin November 1 and continue until the position is filled. Assistant Professor opening in Developmental Psychology

The Department of Psychology at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in developmental psychology for the academic year beginning in August, 2008.  The Department is particularly interested in candidates studying language or perceptual development, but strong candidates in other areas of development are also encouraged to apply.  The Department currently consists of 31 faculty and four full-time lecturers in three Ph.D. programs (Clinical, Counseling, and Experimental). This position is part of the Experimental Program which comprises Biological, Developmental, and Social research areas.  Candidates should have a Ph.D., a strong research record, and enthusiasm for teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Successful candidates are expected to demonstrate potential for extramural funding.
