Two Psychology Graduate Students Receive National Awards
Two University of Tennessee psychology graduate students were recipients of the 2008 American Psychological Association Dissertation Research Award, which provides support of $1000 for costs associated with the dissertation. Clinical student Laura Widman is one of the recipients, and we have provided this award information previously. The second recipient was Experimental student Ellen Harvey Williams, not previously reported.
A total of 41 awards were given nationally. Three awards each went to students at UCLA and Florida, two awards each went to students at UTK, Stanford, NYU, Wisconsin, George Mason, Texas A&M, and Washington. Other awards went to students at Penn, Arizona, Cornell, Iowa, Oregon, Virgina, UNC, Michigan State, Duke, West Virginia, Georgia Tech, Northwestern, UC-Irvine, UC-San Diego, Rice, Penn State, Columbia, Nebraska, UAB, Claremont and Wisc-Milwaukee.
