Catherine Herrera receives APA Minority Fellowship
Catherine Herrera, a graduate student in Counseling Psychology working with Assistant Professor Gina Owens, is the recipient of an APA Minority Fellowship in the area of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services. There were 157 applicants for the Fellowship, and Catherine was one of 8 applicants to receive funding.
The fellowship is renewable for up to three years, and funding is typically at the NRSA level (currently $20,000+ per year). The fellowship also includes a travel allowance to the annual meeting of the American Psychological Association and a research stipend.
