Graduate Student Rick Kendrick Receives Poster Award at National Meeting
Rick Kendrick, a graduate student in Experimental Psychology who works with Michael Olson, received honorable mention in a graduate student research competition for a poster he presented at the 2009 meeting of the Society of Personality and Social Psychology.
A total of just over 1500 posters were presented at the national meeting in Tampa, Feb 5-7, 2009. For each of the seven, 90-min poster sessions, one graduate student winner and two runners-up were selected. Rick was a runner-up for his poster entitled "The Downstream Effects of Implicitly-Formed Attitudes on Information Processing: When Gut Feelings Bias Perceptions." Each runner-up received a $50 prize.
