Dawn Szymanski Article Receives Special Recognition

Each Editor of an official journal of the American Psychological Association can select one article yearly for "Featured Contribution" status, thus becoming available to the academic community as a free download.  Ron Levant, Dean at the University of Akron and Editor of the APA journal Psychology of Men and Masculinity (and past President of the 150,000 member APA), has selected an article by UTK Psychology Assistant Professor Dawn Szymanski (co-authored by Counseling Psychology graduate student Erika Carr) as this year's featured contribution.  The article citation is:

Szymanski, D. M., & Carr, E. R (2008). The roles of gender role conflict and internalized heterosexism in gay and bisexual men's psychological distress: Testing two mediation models. Psychology of Men and Masculinity, 9, 40-54.
