Research statement

My research program involves the study of practical applications of personality assessment with multicultural populations. One branch of this program involves in-depth analyses of the practical applications of the Personality Assessment Inventory in a university counseling center setting. The second branch of the program involves the assessment of “normal” personality traits utilizing the Five Factor Model of Personality. I am particularly interested in applications of this model to aid the prediction of performance related stress in various groups including musicians, athletes, and business people. My program is currently evolving to include studies of performance enhancement interventions with diverse gifted and talented populations.
