Biological

As a research group, we are primarily interested in the biological processes that underlie behaviors such as forgiveness, learning, meditation, and stress. We are concerned with basic psychophysiological processes and their application to many health problems (e.g., hypertension, anxiety disorders, attention deficit disorders, and susceptibility to infections). In the past, our research group has provided students with several opportunities to work in Behavioral Medicine settings. Students interested in working with our faculty in this area need to apply to one of the 3 Graduate Programs in Psychology: Experimental, Clinical, or Counseling. The majority of the researchers in this area are members of the experimental program.
