Teaching Associate Professor, Interim Director of Undergraduate Studies
Sarah Diorio earned her BA in Psychology from St. Bonaventure University in 2005, her MA in Applied Clinical Psychology from The Pennsylvania State University in 2009, and her PsyD in Clinical Psychology from Immaculata University in 2014. Her doctoral research examined interparental hatred and child behavior.
Before joining the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, in 2023, Diorio served as a lecturer at Rowan University in New Jersey. She is now a Teaching Associate Professor in the Department of Psychology and Neuroscience and serves as Interim Director of Undergraduate Studies in Psychology & Neuroscience.
In addition to teaching, Diorio maintains a private practice specializing in psychotherapy and psychoeducational and psychological assessment. Because her primary role at UT is teaching, Diorio does not operate a research laboratory or accept graduate students.
