In Memoriam – Larry Ventis

 

Dr. Larry Ventis, Professor Emeritus of Psychology at William & Mary, passed away April 11, 2020, due to complications from COVID-19. Professor Ventis received his BS, MA, and PhD in psychology from the University of Tennessee, and completed his clinical internship at the Palo Alto, California Veterans Affairs (VA) Hospital.

His first and only faculty position was at William & Mary, where he was hired in 1969 and retired in 2016. He earned tenure in 1975 and was promoted to the rank of Professor in 1985. Dr. Ventis was a classmate of Dr. Wes Morgan in our clinical program.  They also both did their internships at the Palo Alto VA and shared an apartment in Pala Alto.
