Alexis Rhames Keith

Clinical Assistant Professor, Associate Clinic Director

Alexis Rhames Keith is a licensed psychologist with specialized training in autism and developmental disabilities. She earned her PhD in counseling psychology from the University of Missouri-Columbia and completed her APA-accredited internship at Rochester Institute of Technology (Hillside Children’s Center), where she provided psychological services in a residential treatment setting for youth. She later completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the UNC TEACCH Autism Program, with a focus on diagnostic assessment and intervention for individuals with autism spectrum disorder and related conditions.

Keith has worked in a variety of clinical settings, including academic medical centers, schools, residential facilities, and community mental health programs, supporting individuals across the lifespan. Her clinical orientation is rooted in cognitive-behavioral and behavioral principles, while also incorporating developmental and family systems frameworks, with an emphasis on culturally responsive care.

Her professional interests include psychological assessment for children, adolescents, and young adults with suspected autism and other neurodevelopmental differences or mental health concerns.
