Fulbright Scholar - Research Scientist
The Department of Psychology welcomes Fulbright Research Scholars Indrikis Krams and Tatjana Krama. They are faculty members of the Institute of Systematic Biology at Daugavpils University, Latvia. Their research focuses on the evolution of social behavior, adaptations of birds to northern conditions and blood parasites of birds, and behavioral ecology of a wide range of species (including humans). Recent studies in their lab have addressed personality in vertebrate and invertebrate species, and also the possibility of reciprocity and empathy in bird species. As part of their Fulbright award, at UT they are studying vocal behavior of wild songbird populations, in collaboration with Todd Freeberg and his students.
